This course, led by Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, provides a comprehensive understanding of the Vietnamese legal system and its role in urban planning and development. Students will explore major laws, codes, and regulations relevant to urban planning and real estate development, developing the capacity to think legally and apply these laws in practice.
Key topics include land acquisition, project development, housing sales, and legal considerations in plan-making processes. Through lectures, seminars, and group projects, students will learn how to navigate the legal requirements in urban development and manage development projects effectively.
By the end of the course, students will have the skills to analyze and comment on the application of laws in real-world scenarios, developing legal strategies to address planning issues in compliance with Vietnamese regulations. The course is assessed through written exams, group projects, and home exercises, making it essential for students in the M.Sc. Sustainable Urban Development program at VGU.
